Virse vs Vizcom: which one belongs in a product design workflow?
Vizcom takes product sketches to renders and 3D models. Virse is a canvas for the scenes, campaign formats and video around a product whose form is settled.
Vizcom may suit you better if form development is the bottleneck; Virse may be a better fit if the visual work after it is. Based on public documentation, September 2026.

Where the work happens
An infinite canvas where references, briefs and notes, Word/PDF documents and alternative results sit side by side. Image, video, text, search, Virse Creator and smart-tool nodes are added on the canvas.
Two interfaces: Studio (Brush Studio), a focused drawing and rendering environment, and Workbench, an infinite canvas for organising and exploring concepts.
Re-render replaces a result; render new keeps it and adds another for side-by-side comparison; clone creates an empty node with the same prompt, settings and references. Editing covers remove background, expand, upscale and experimental local edits.
Modify modes generate new views of the same product, expression changes, flat material extracts, and form and colour variations along Geometric–Organic and Simple–Complex axes.
Right-click the canvas, an image or a group to comment, reply and mark a thread resolved. Canvases can be shared by link with edit permission or by email invite.
Workbench supports real-time collaboration: add notes with the Text tool, compare concepts side by side and follow collaborators' viewpoints.
Virse's canvas works with images, video, text and Word/PDF documents; 3D model files are not among its listed inputs.
Imports .glb/.gltf, .obj, .fbx and .stl models to sketch over and render. A separate 2D to 3D feature generates new 3D models from sketches or renders.
Both products let you steer the look of a generation with your own images. They package that differently.

A reusable look from your own images
Build a reusable aesthetic from 1–20 reference images (colour, composition, lighting, material, mood), then use it in generation, search and Virse Creator. Aesthetics can be saved to folders and shared.
A custom Style is created from a curated set of 4–30 images in a style block. On Enterprise, a style can be published so it is available across the workspace.
Official aesthetics are available in the community library.
Built-in Render Styles act as presets for lighting, shading and artistic treatment, from Vizcom General to Automotive Exterior, with an Influence slider.
Drag a connection from one node to another, such as a product shot into an image node, to make it a reference. The reference area shows which references a generation uses; add or remove them there.
Reference images are uploaded in a Reference panel, with reference strength and drawing influence sliders. Material Transfer applies a finish from a reference to a selected area.
Asset management holds images, videos, documents, canvases and aesthetics in folders, with star, move, copy, batch management and restore from trash. Folders can be shared with permissions.
The Asset Library stores Colors, Color Palettes, Images, 3D Models, Prompts and Collections in folders, referenced in Modify prompts with @. A shared Team Library is on Enterprise.

Turning stills into motion
16 video models, including Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0 and Seedance 2.0 / 2.5. Connect an opening image into a video's first frame. Video models need a paid plan.
An Animate block takes a start frame, or start and end frames, with camera presets (Turntable, Zoom, Pan, Tilt), an optional prompt, and Standard or Turbo generation.
Model, aspect ratio, resolution and quality are chosen per generation from 40+ models (21 image, 16 video, 4 text). GPT Image 2.5 outputs 1K, 2K and 4K.
In Workbench, the Modify block generates at 1K, 2K or 4K from a dropdown, in the same model used for the rest of the work. 2K/4K is currently Workbench only.
Share a canvas by link with view, use (download) or edit permission, or invite by email. Team spaces add shared project folders, member groups, admins, per-member compute caps and a setting that pauses external sharing.
Files are shared by link: anyone with the link can view, workspace members get access by role, and external users are view-only unless invited to edit. Admins can disable public sharing.
Usage is metered in compute, with estimated compute shown before each generation. New accounts start with 200 free compute, and the Free plan tops up 50 compute a day while the balance is below 200. Basic is $10/month; on paid plans, compute credits never expire. Plan details checked on the Virse pricing page on 2026-09-24.
Starter is $0 with 800 credits; Professional is $49 per user a month with 20,000 credits. Every action draws from one balance that resets monthly; add-on credits roll over. Viewers are free.
Once the form is signed off, the job becomes placing that product in scenes and formats. Drag a connection from the approved render into an image node and it becomes a reference for the next generation; connect a still into a video node and it becomes the first frame. The reference area shows which references each result used.
Aesthetics
A campaign look you can reuse
Build a reusable aesthetic from 1–20 reference images that share the colour, composition, lighting, material and mood you want. Use it in generation, search and Virse Creator, save it to a folder, and share it so the team works from the same set of references.
Smart tools
Repeat the batch, not the setup
Launch campaigns repeat the same asset types for every colourway or market. A smart tool packages the inputs, process and output requirements of one of those tasks, so you can run a batch of similar assets the same way, share the tool with the team, or let Virse Creator call it.
Form still changing, or already settled?
Most product teams can place themselves with one question: is the form still changing, or is it settled?
A good fit for
✓The form is settled and the bottleneck is scenes, campaign formats and variations around the product
✓You want one reusable aesthetic, built from 1–20 references, applied across generation, search and Virse Creator
✓You want a wide choice of video models alongside image generation, such as connecting an approved image as a video's first frame
✓The same kind of asset is made again and again, and a smart tool could run each batch the same way
✓Briefs, references, Word/PDF documents and results need to sit together, with shared folders and team permissions
Not the best fit for
×You need sketches taken to renders in a focused drawing and rendering environment
×You work from existing 3D files (.glb, .obj, .fbx, .stl) or want 2D to 3D models you can export
×You are still exploring form, with New View and Form & Color Variation on a design that is changing
×Reviewers need read-only access without a paid seat: Vizcom lists Viewers as free
Using both, or moving across
These tools can be used together. These steps work either as a migration or as a handover point between the two.
01
Step 1. Decide where the handover sits
Draw the line at the moment the form is settled. Everything before it is form development. Everything after it is the visual work around the product. That line tells you which tool owns which stage.
02
Step 2. Export the settled renders
Export the approved renders from Vizcom's Export panel as PNG or JPEG. Vizcom also offers layered PSD export from Studio, but for the next stage bring the flattened image you actually want to build on.
03
Step 3. Set up the canvas and the look
Upload the renders and your references to Virse and place them on a canvas next to the brief. If the campaign needs a specific look, build a reusable aesthetic from 1–20 reference images, or start from an official aesthetic in the community library.
04
Step 4. Run one campaign off a settled render
Connect the approved render into image nodes as a reference and generate the scenes and formats around it. Use render new to compare options side by side, connect the strongest still into a video's first frame, and if the batch will repeat, package it as a smart tool.
Example creative boards
Brief led board: a reference palette with three photographic directions.
Campaign board: one hero composition, a detail study and a scene variation.
Direction board: one product form explored across materials and lighting.
Common questions
Is Virse a replacement for Vizcom?+−
For most product teams, no. Vizcom documents a Studio for drawing and rendering, 3D model import, 2D to 3D, and Modify modes such as New View and Form & Color Variation, all aimed at developing the object itself. Virse's canvas works with images, video, text and documents, and covers the stage after the form is settled: the scenes, formats and video around the product. A team covering both stages can use them together.
Can a whole team work from the same look?+−
Both products support this in different ways. In Virse, you build a reusable aesthetic from 1–20 reference images, save it to a folder and share it; team spaces add shared project folders, member groups and admins. Vizcom creates a custom Style from a set of 4–30 images, and on Enterprise a style can be published so it is available across the workspace.
How does a Vizcom render become a campaign in Virse?+−
Export the approved render from Vizcom, upload it to Virse and place it on a canvas. Drag a connection from the render into an image node to use it as a reference for each scene, or into a video node as the first frame. Virse Creator, the AI design agent on the canvas, can also take the render and a brief, plan the steps and produce images, video and Word/PDF documents.
Which is cheaper for a team?+−
It depends on who needs to edit. Vizcom's Professional plan is $49 per user a month with 20,000 credits, and Viewers are free, so a team with many reviewers pays for fewer seats than its headcount. On Virse, new accounts start with 200 free compute, and the Free plan tops up 50 compute a day while the balance is below 200; Free users can use every image model at 1K output, and video models need a paid plan. Basic is $10/month, Pro and Max include unlimited generation on selected models and tiers, and Business plans support up to 50 seats. Credits and compute are not comparable one for one. Checked on the Virse pricing page on 2026-09-24. Plans, included compute and feature limits may change. Check the current Virse pricing page for the latest details.
How current is this comparison?+−
Last editorial review: September 24, 2026. Every table row links the Vizcom page it was checked against on that date; this is a comparison of public documentation, not a hands-on benchmark. Features, offers and prices can change, so confirm the current terms before subscribing. If a row no longer matches what either product does, tell us at yifan@virse.art so we can review it.
Run one settled render through the canvas
Take one approved render and build the scenes, formats and a short video around it on the canvas. Compare the result with your current process to see whether Virse belongs alongside Vizcom.
