Connections & Flows

Connections are directed lines between elements. They express relationships and dependencies: one element's output becomes another element's input.

Draw a connection

Each element has two connection points:

• Source: on the right side. Drag from here to start a connection.
• Target: on the left side. Drop here to complete the connection.

Drag from a source point. When you approach another element, the target point animates to show that it can receive the connection. Release to create the edge.

Create new elements from a connection

If you release a connection on empty canvas space, Virse opens a menu where you can choose what to create at the end of the line.

• Image: creates a new image element.
• Text: creates a new text element.
• Search: creates a search group and uses the source element as a reference.

How connections affect generation

When you regenerate an element, connected elements can be used as reference inputs. This lets you chain operations: an image can feed a search group, and search results can feed a new generation step.

Manage connections

• Click a connection line to select it.
• Right-click a connection line to delete it.
• Selected connections are highlighted in violet.

Edge visibility

Connection points remain interactive in every visibility mode.
