Canvas

The Virse canvas is a shared workspace where human creators and AI agents work together. Images, text, search results, and the relationships between them all live here.

The canvas is infinite and rendered with WebGL for performance. You can place as many elements as you need and organize them in the way your work requires.

Action

How

  • Text: click anywhere on the canvas to place text.
  • Add: drag onto the canvas to open the element creation menu.
  • Inpaint: paint over part of an image and regenerate that area.
  • Outpaint: extend an image beyond its current boundaries.
  • Upscale: increase the resolution of a selected image.

Elements

Everything on the canvas is an element. Product workflows often describe these as nodes because each item can hold content, expose actions, and connect to downstream steps.

Image

An image element displays one image on the canvas. It can come from upload, AI generation, or search results. Once on the canvas, it can be edited, connected, and reused as a reference.

Text

A text element displays formatted text. It can be used as visible design text, a prompt, a note, or a reference input for search and generation.

Groups

Groups let you treat multiple elements as a unit for batch operations, layout, and export.
