ComfyUI gives you the node graph and custom nodes, on your own hardware or on Comfy Cloud. Virse is a web canvas where references, models and reusable aesthetics sit together. ComfyUI may suit you if you want control over every model and step. Virse may be a better fit if you would rather not build and maintain a node graph. Based on public documentation, September 2026.
Start with where each product runs and who maintains it. ComfyUI can run entirely on your own machine or on Comfy's hosted cloud, with open models and extensions you choose and maintain. Virse is a web workspace you sign in to.

Drag a connection from a product shot into an image node, or from an opening image into a video's first frame, and it becomes a reference for that generation. The reference area shows what each generation used, and you can add or remove references there.

These two sit at different points on the control and maintenance trade. The right choice depends on which part of the work your team wants to own.
A node graph and a canvas are built differently, so plan the move around the outcome you need rather than converting the pipeline node by node.
Write down what your graph actually produces: the subject, the lighting, the palette, the framing and the formats you deliver. That description is what moves. The node arrangement that produced it stays in ComfyUI.
Bring your best outputs and reference images onto a Virse canvas, and upload the brief as Word or PDF. Connect a reference into an image or video node so the next generation uses it.
Choose 1–20 of your strongest images and build a reusable aesthetic from them, then use it in generation, search and Virse Creator so the look carries across the team.
Turn the task you run most often into a smart tool and share it. Then compare a week of real work on both sides, including the time spent on models, nodes and hardware. If node-level control is what that week needed, keep ComfyUI for that part of the work.
Put a real brief, your references and a few of your best outputs on a Virse canvas, and see how the work goes when there is no pipeline to maintain.
